For those of you who weren't at it, my gig late last year at the Northampton Labour Club went really well. I had a great deal of fun, and it seems the audience weren't disappointed either.

Here's the video, which amounts to one boring man on stage not moving around much apart from sitting down half way through. Also, coloured lighting. Still, it captures the atmosphere quite well.

Bigs up due to TheLastSamu for filming the gig, and to Tom Rose for recording the audio of the gig.

Welp, it's been a while since my last game remix. Here's a new one. I've contributed to the OCRemix Wild Arms remix project, ARMed and DANGerous.

My remix is featured in this trailer (Utter madness! It's only a wonky little tune, what's it doing up there?) at 2:07. It's a remix of the track False Wedding At Sea, and I've given it the cheeky title of "I Now Pronounce You Incorrectly".

In a case of serendipity, on this the blackest of Fridays, I have decided to celebrate my impending FIRST GIG EVER (which is tomorrow in Northampton, for those of you who have forgotten) by lowering the prices of my Album and EP on Bandcamp.

So!

Abandoned Special Edition (the album featuring a remix by nervous_testpilot of Frozen Synapse fame) is £2!

And Part Man Part Machine (the EP featuring chart smashlette "So Angry") is £2!

I'm playing a live gig. I've never done this before, so it'll be interesting. And possibly disastrous.

I'm supporting the ace gothic rock band The Agonal Trace and will be playing stuff from Abandoned, the Part Man Part Machine EP, and the upcoming Broken Lighthouse Initiative EP so that'll be nice.

The time? Saturday 26th November. The place? The Labour Club, Charles St, Northampton. £2 on the door.

Hello everyone!

Thought I'd just pop up a thank you to everyone who's listened to, bought and or shared links to my album and new EP.

I shall reward your support with new music. On that note, there are interesting things afoot. Hopefully I will have a new EP completed before the end of the year (although I am quite slow at finishing things - I'll just try harder than usual).

On top of that, I hope to embark on an exciting collaborative project with a fellow electronic monster. More news on that when things start happening.

And on top of on top of that that, there should be a little bit of A Scholar And A Phyisican Presents magic happening sometime soon. For those not in the know, these are albums organised by Oli (A Scholar) and Steve (A Physician) and involve loads of indie music types making music for a themed compilation. The last one was in 2004, so a new one is long overdue.

Whew! Oh, also I have a new game remix in the can. It's for a remix project, so more on that when it's being released.

Produced under the pseudonym of ".mpegasus" and adhering to the rules of the made-up genre of Skew (140bpm, 3/4 time, 808 drums and square waves only) it's a bouncy little number of beepy fun. Oh, and the title was suggested by Carl Warner, who took it from one of the more banal statements made by co-host of local news program Look East, Stewart White as he revealed that he would be engaging the illuminations of a local town - misspelt in the song title for your enjoyment. Yes, really.

GENERAL : December 2009 update

The best laid plans...

The speed album project, which I mentioned in the last post, did not come to bear the fruit of a full albumsworth of music. So, apologies on promising you that.

On the plus side, the title track "Anisometric" does sound nice, so I'll finish that off and put it up for download soon.

Also, one of the other tracks worked well and with a little tweaking is working nicely as a new version of one of the large amount of old tracks which I like, but want to rework. Expect a FutureKill update soon, too!

Other than that, not much to report. Carry on!
